Overview
Microlearning is a short, targeted, direct learning experience focused on specific content that covers a learning objective.
The target audience is high school students who volunteer in customer service at the School Garden Market (A farmer’s market in school) at a K-12 school in Washington, D.C.
Analysis
Students need a reminder of common spring herbs that are sold at the market. They need to access information quickly before the market opens.
When customers ask about the herbs, students are able to answer what it is and how to use them.
Design a Prototype
The goal is to make students get familiar with common spring herbs.
The learning objective is to recall how to use mint, cilantro, and chives.

It consists of a total of 12 cards and 3 quizzes, supplementing project-based learning.
Result
The content was delivered at the point of use before the market opened. The tech savvy students liked to access information by a QR code to the 2-minute mobile-learning.
