Overview
This is the first of 5 modules in the project risk management course. Module #1 covers fundamental concepts for project risk management, including a comparison between risk and issue, distinguishing risks that may cause a positive or negative impact, and an overview of the six stages of the project risk management plan.
Analysis
The target audience is 200 adult employees at Plants & Pals. Their learning gap is the unfamiliarity of managing project risks.
Design
This storyboard sample is a visual blueprint of the eLearning module for all stakeholders involved in creating the course. It communicates content, narrative flow, and interactions from one unit to the next.
Develop a Prototype
The module #1 introduces 6 risk management stages. A module is created with Rise accompanied by a job aid.
Result
The module is updated with three rounds of constructive feedback, and the following items are incorporated.
- Eliminate blocks that do not directly support three learning objectives
- Use dark grey and bold text for emphasis instead of colored text
- Be consistent on any visual
- Use accessible language
- Not to use multiple answers in quizzes to avoid discouraging learners
As a result, it became a lean module covering three enabling objectives.
